THE SECOND
RESTORATION OF DAVIDS TABERNACLE
The Restoration of Israel
In
that day I will raise up the booth of David
that is fallen
and rebuild it as in
the days of old, that
they may possess the remnant of Edom and all
the nations who are called by my
name, declares the Lord who does
this.
Behold,
the days are coming, declares the Lord,
when
. I will restore the fortunes of
my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the
ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall
plant vineyards and drink their wine, and
they shall make gardens and eat their fruit I
will plant them on their land, and they shall
never again be uprooted out of the land that
I have given them, says the Lord your
God. (Amos 9:11-15)
James
quoted Amos 9:11 to describe the amazing
events of the Book of Acts when the Holy
Spirit was being poured out not only on Jews
but on Gentiles as well. Both were
experiencing the blessing of God and the
demonstration of His power with healings,
signs wonders and miracles. James did not
quote the full prophecy. He recognized that
Amos 9:11 described the situation of the
first century church. The rest of the passage
describes a move of God that is to take place
in the twentieth and twenty first century. It
is an extraordinary passage that predicts a
further restoration of Davids
Tabernacle in our day.
Amos
says that Davids Tabernacle will be
restored when the Jews come back to Israel
from the nations never to be uprooted. This
could not be referring to the restoration of
Davids Tabernacle experienced in the
early church as it takes place after
Israels final return.
This
return to Israel is described as being
accompanied by the planting of the vine and
drinking the wine. (Amos 9:14) This mention
of wine contains a hidden time reference that
refers to the twentieth and twenty-first
centuries and therefore predicts a new
restoration of Davids Tabernacle in our
day!
In
the middle of the 7th century the
Muslims conquered the Holy Land and placed it
under Islamic rule. From that time until 1917
Israel remained under Islamic rule except for
a short period of 88 years when it was ruled
by the Crusaders (1099-1187).
Under
Moslem rule it was illegal (as it is today in
Islamic countries) to grow the vine or to
sell alcohol. By describing the cultivation
of the vine and the drinking of wine on the
mountains of Israel the prophecy clearly
predicts a day when Islamic rule would come
to an end in Israel. This began in 1917 and
since then the vine has been cultivated in
Israel,
This
reference to the growing of the vine in Amos'
prophecy is stating therefore that when
Israel comes back to the land and Muslim and
rules ends over the Holy Land, God will
restore the Tabernacle of David.
God
is saying that three events will take place
simultaneously
1.
The restoration of Israel and
2.
The end of Muslim rule over the Holy Land
3.
And the final restoration of the Tabernacle
of David
These events are taking place now (20th
and 21st centuries) and so our
days are especially marked by God and we are
seeing second restoration of Davids
Tabernacle.
Restoring What
Was Lost
In
Acts 15 James declares that the inclusion of
Gentiles along with Jews in the blessings of
God, through Jesus atoning sacrifice,
is the restoration of Davids
Tabernacle. Unlike Moses Tabernacle,
Davids Tabernacle was based on the
concept of finished sacrifice.
Now believers without respect to ethnicity
can be reconciled to God and receive the Holy
Spirit on the basis of faith in Jesus
sacrifice.
James
also recognized that the supernatural
activity of the Holy Spirit taking place
among Jews and Gentiles in the days of the
apostles was further evidence of the
resonation of Davids Tabernacle.
If
the final restoration of Davids
Tabernacle takes place during the days of
Israels restoration then the same kinds
of events experienced in the book of Acts
will be released anew on the earth.
The
supernatural element of Christianity will be
restored, Jew and gentile will be reconciled
in the Messiah (one in Him) and the gospel
will adapt to every culture. Mission will no
longer be a mater of colonization but of the
outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all nations
as they discover the blessings available to
them through the work of Jesus. The gospel of
the kingdom will be preached in every nation
and the Jewish people will return to the Lord
in ways that parallel the first century
This
is exactly what is happening today. Israel
has come back, the rule of Islam has been
replaced in much of the ancient land and the
power of the Holy Spirit is being experienced
in the church and among the nations
(including Jew and Arab) as in the Book of
Acts.
The present restoration of Israel is no
accident of history.
The end of Muslim rule over the land of
Israel is no accident of history.
The restoration of the supernatural dimension
of the gospel is no accident of history.
The rise of indigenous Christianity in every
nation is no accident of history.
All of these are foreseen in the prophecy of
Amos and all are being experienced today. We
are living in days foretold by the prophets
and in dimensions of restoration reserved for
our time.
If something has to be restored it implies
that something was lost. What was lost since
Acts Chapter 15 (the time of the first
restoration of Davids Tabernacle) and
the times we now live in (the time of
the final restoration of Davids
tabernacle)?
Israel lost its land.
The church lost its connection to Israel.
The church reverted to the pattern of Moses
Tabernacle by becoming ritualistic,
legalistic and clergy mediated
Believers became sin and guilt conscious
rather than son conscious
The church lost most of the supernatural
power and activity of the Holy Spirit.
The church became bound to western culture
and tradition.
The
prophecy of Amos speaks of a day our
day - when God is reversing this and
restoring Israel and the supernatural power
of the Spirit.
Summary & Conclusion
The present day restoration of Israel is a
signal for the gospel to be released from the
confines of every traditional culture
Jewish or Christian. We are not exporting a
culture we are spreading a message
Through the blessing of the gospel the
blessings of Abraham is coming to every
ethnic group.
The blessing of the nations does not preclude
the distinctiveness of Israel, as it is their
restoration that triggers the release of this
worldwide blessing.
The return of Israel to their land will bring
to an end Islamic rule over the Holy Land.
This will open the way not only for the
Jewish people to be blessed and reconciled to
God, but also for Arab peoples and all
nations who avail of the Atonement to be
blessed and reconciled.
Supernatural power and exuberant worship
evident in the early church that had waned
are being restored in these days of
Israels return.
Believers must put away immorality and
especially idolatry and sexual sins. (Acts
15)
Believers are not required to adhere to the
regulations of Moses' tabernacle but live
morally upright lives through the fruit of
the spirit.
Believers are called to renounce
replacement theology - the
teaching that God has finished with Israel
Believers should develop a heart for Israel
and for the nations, embrace the supernatural
power of the Holy Spirit and give themselves
to spread the gospel of the kingdom
Gods plan to liberate and bless all
nations through the finished work of the
Cross.
We cannot flow with Him today unless we
recognize accept and become a part of what He
is doing on the earth today!

We
must Go Beyond Levitical Priesthood
85% of the teaching ministries in our
nation, and even the anointed Bible-based
teaching of pastors who are well known and
respected and Spirit-filled, are of the
understanding of the LEVITICAL priesthood.
Only 15% of the quality teaching ministries
are correctly operating in the understanding
of the MELCHIZEDEK priesthood. The priesthood
was changed almost 2,000 years ago. These
teachers who are teaching old order have not
only lapsed behind in Gods message, but
it is high time they got current with
Gods truth. (Word of the Lord
given to David Michael Mills - Dick
Mills Ministries September 2009)
DOES GOD
REQUIRE SACRIFICE?
Many
Christians still have the pagan idea that God
requires that we offer Him sacrifice to
appease His wrath towards us.
In
fact
God never asked us to make a sacrifice to Him
- He made a sacrifice for us.
We do not offer Him Jesus for our sins - He
offered Jesus for our sin.
God is not an ogre requiring sacrifice to
appease Him - He is a living Father who
allowed His only begotten Son to absorb the
guilt of our sin, and all that separated us
from Him, His love and blessing
(Paul
OHiggins)
We Are
Marvelously Made
Your body is made up of more than a 1000
billion cells.
These all came from a single fertilized egg
cell.
The longest living cells in the body are
brain cells which can live an entire
lifetime.
Each cell stores information a bit like a
computer, on a molecule called DNA.
DNA is a very long molecule if you
stretched out all the DNA in your body and
joined it together, it would reach to the
moon and back eight times.
If all the information on our DNA was printed
in small type, it would fill a thousand thick
telephone directories.
Yet scientists need to use very powerful
microscopes to be able to see it.
Messages on our DNA mean that cells inside
our bodies are constantly
chatting to one another.
Neighboring cells say things to
each other like Grow a bit more
and equally importantly, Stop
growing.
Scientists are working to understand more
about the mistakes made in this information
in cancer cells. They believe cancer is the
result of miscommunication between cells.
(Henrys Fantastic Facts in
Marie Curie Cancer Care U.K.)
Comment:
Since the cells of our bodies are
communication systems we can speak the word
of God to them as Jesus said. (Mk 11:23)
Walk
& Talk
We
cannot talk to God unless we walk with Him
when we are not talking.
(Oswald Chambers)
Rosh Hashanah
Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the
biblical New Year.
It is a time of
Tshuva' repentance and returning.
It is a time to return to the goodness of
God, recognize our need of and receive the
continuous transformation that only happens in
His presence and never outside it. It
is a time to shake off the pagan
misconceptions that have separated us from
Him. It is a time to discover how great He is
and allow His life love and blessings invade
our lives.
Whatever
this year may bring we shall always be
followed by Gods goodness and mercy.
Our circumstances may change but no power can
separate us from His love.
Dialog
With God
I asked God:
What can I do for you?
He answered :
Nothing
I asked God:
What can I do with you?
He said:
Little.
I asked God:
What can You do with me?
He said
Anything I like!
Dear
Friends
We
pray all is well with you since we last
wrote. We really believe the message in this
newsletter is an important word for the Body.
(It is available in a more developed form in
a mini-book, which we have just written.)
Since
last writing we had the privilege of
ministering throughout the Body of Christ in
Ireland. The move of God is growing there.
We see there will soon be a great river of
His love and power flowing in and from there.
This is taking place against the background
of a culture that is becoming rapidly more
secularized. The church in Ireland is arising
(respecting its various parts) and at the
same time embracing the fullness of the
Spirit and the call to be light and salt in
the world. As elsewhere a tremendous
tug-ofwar is taking place for the minds
and hearts of our people.
In
July we ministered in France, first in
Normandy and then at Church For The Nations
and Christian Church Fellowship in Geneva,
Switzerland. Church For The Nations is
composed of about 700 believers from over 55
different nations. It is always an
inspiration and joy to share there and meet
friends old and new.
In October we return to Israel for our
annual visit for the ICEJ Feast of
Tabernacles Conference where we have the
privilege of once again teaching a seminar.
From October 11th 20th
we have the joy of leading a tour throughout
the land of Israel.
This year we
have 18 people - 2 from the U.S.- the
remainder a lively group of Irish friends.
On our way back from Israel we go to Spain to
speak at Betel Church, Madrid. Betel was
started about 25 years ago by Elliott Tepper,
his wife Mary and Kent... It has become one
of the largest and most effective Christian
outreaches to drug addicts in the world. Guy
Cheverux has written their story in a great
book, We dance because we cannot fly.
We are always humbled in the presence of the
power of redemption manifested in this
1,000-member church an exhibition and
testimony of His grace.
In
November/December we expect to be home based
and look forward to our local Bible studies
and opportunities to minister at local
churches. Nov. 7th we will be
speaking at Living Waters in Jupiter.
We
are very aware that our ministry stands on
the prayers of our intercessors. Pray that we
will always share His truth with great love
and mercy.
With deepest
thanks to all who help us with prayers and
financial support, which we truly appreciate.
We need you! Let us know if we can serve you
in any way.
One in His great love and service,
