“Yet
once more I will shake not only
the earth but also the
heavens.” This phrase,
“Yet once more,”
indicates the removal of things
that are shaken—that is,
things that have been
made—in order that the
things that cannot be shaken may
remain.”(Hebrews
12:26-27)
We are
witnessing a mammoth shaking in
the financial and ecological
systems of this world that are
naturally frightening and scary.
Where will the jobs be? Where
will our provision come from? How
will we make it through in such
dire circumstance?
Our
western democracies have created
a culture of entitlement.
Government has become our great
caretaker. The problem is that
the governments are no longer
able to fulfill their promises.
Cut back on the entitlements and
there will be riots on the
streets. Continue with the
entitlements and the economies
continue to collapse even
further.
God
provides through governments;
apart
from governments;
and in spite of governments.
He provides through the economic
system;
apart from the economic system
and in spite of the economic
system.
In the
middle of this uncertainty the
voice of the Lord calls out:
“Come to me all you who
are heavy laden and over burdened
and I will give you rest.”
– Jesus
Direct
trust in God through the covenant
we have with Him in Jesus is the ONLY
way to security. It is not an
option reserved for the
religious. It is the ONLY way for
mankind. There is urgency
in these days to earnestly come
to Jesus our Rock and to God Our
Father, Our Refuge &
Provider.
As
believers in Him we remind
ourselves of our covenant with
Him and trust Him with our every
need. We live from His mercy and
need it every day.
Now is
the time to resist and cast away
all fear and spirits of fear. We
can go in a completely opposite
direction. We can rejoice
and celebrate the security we
have in Him and live like
‘little children’,
‘lilies of the field’
and ‘birds of the air’
who do not fret and do not worry
about tomorrow.
As we
find our security on Jesus THE
ROCK and on Him alone we will
become lighthouses pointing the
way to the secure harbor in a
raging sea. He is the ONLY
security for the insecure people
of the world.
“God
is our refuge and strength, a
very present help in
trouble. Therefore we will
not fear though the earth gives
way, though the mountains be
moved into the heart of the
sea, though its waters roar
and foam, though the mountains
tremble at its swelling.
Selah” Psalm 46:1-3

know and RELY on the Love God has
for us” (1 Jn. 4.16 NIV)
