DAY 2 REMOVING SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS
“No one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. … But the natural man (the mind-governed man) does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor. 2.11, 14)
Thank You Lord for giving us Your own Spirit that each one of us can see and know the things of God and discover all the things You have made available to us.
Today we ask You to remove spiritual blindness from us and from Your church worldwide. We ask You to open our eyes to vast areas of truth which we have neglected, including the supernatural power of the Spirit, the place of Israel, and the equipping of EVERY believer to be a living center of Your power and presence.
Lord, we ask You to send the promise of the Father – the Holy Spirit – the gift of your own nature to come upon Your church in a whole new measure, this Pentecost – May 31st.
You said that Your Spirit would lead us into all truth, yet we seem to be blind to many of the great realities that You have placed us in, and given to us.
Today we ask for ourselves, and for the entire Body of Christ worldwide, that our eyes will be opened to see MUCH MORE CLEARLY all that You have done for us through the death, burial, resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus and in lifting us up to be with Him.
Open our eyes to see by the revelation of Your Spirit what no book can teach us – that we truly have died with You and have received the nature of Jesus. We ask You that we will not walk in darkness but in the light of Your life and word. Remove our bondage to mere natural thinking and make us a Spirit-led, supernatural people like never before.
Release us from being led by our opinions, ritualistic practices and traditions of man so that we can controlled directly by the life, love, breath and energy of Heaven - Your Holy Spirit.
Show us where we have been bound by ritual, traditions that are contrary to Your word and methods that do not reflect childlike trust and obedience to You. We repent of this, and ask You to release us from every way and practice which is not in harmony with Your Word and ways. Break every yoke over our lives and release us to truly worship You in spirit and in truth.
Reveal to us the depths of God, Our Father’s love. Let this love become more real to us. Let our hearts be totally filled with this love, which we ask You, this Pentecost, to pour into us in a fuller way than ever before. Cause us be be controlled by Your love, directed by Your love and sent by Your love, as Your Spirit fills and empowers us.
Holy Spirit sweep over the entire world with a mighty wave of conviction of sin. Shatter its complacency, self-righteousness and media-controlled opinions and values. Cause them to turn to You in repentance and to receive the Life You have won for them. Use the Covid pandemic to convict it of its false security and to turn to You in repentance to find forgiveness and security in You.
As the first Pentecost took place in one City Jerusalem, let this Pentecost (because now You have your people embedded in every city in the world) take place on a massive scale globally, and simultaneously across the 24 time zones, in every nation and city.

A) What is spiritual blindness?

Lacking of faith,virtue,
knowledge,temperance,patience,godliness,brotherly kindness; & charity is known as blindness.
(2 Peter 1:5-9) states : 'Beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; to virtue knowledge; to knowledge temperance; to temperance patience; to patience godliness;to godliness brotherly kindness; & to brotherly kindness charity. He that lacketh these things is blind, cannot see afar off & hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.'
B) How a person becomes spiritually blind ?

1)The person closes his eyes.
These are 2 verses _:
!) (Acts 28: 26-27 ) states :‘Holy Ghost said by Esaias the prophet about Jews," Go unto this people & say, Heaing ye shall hear & shall not understand; & seeing ye shall see & not perceive: For their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes & should be converted & I should heal them."
!!) (Matthew 13:15 ) states : 'These people have closed, their eyes, lest they should see with their eyes & understand with their heart & turn & I would heal them.’
For example, Pharisees were blind people.
These are 2 verses_:
!) (Matthew 23:16) states : 'Jesus said to scribes & Pharisees “Woe to you, blind guides.’
!!) (Matthew 15:1) states : 'Jesus said to the disciples about them, "Let them alone; they are blind guides & if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
2) Sometimes, God blinds the eyes.
These are 4 verses_:
!) (John 12: 37, 39-40 )states : 'But though Jesus had done so many miracles before the people yet they believed not on him: Esaias said ,He hath blinded their eyes, & hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart & be converted & He should heal them.'
!!) (Zephaniah 1:17 )states :The word of the LORD came unto Zephaniah, "I will bring distress on mankind, so that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against the Lord."
!!!) (Romans 11:8 ) states :' lt is written, “God gave them (Israel ) a spirit of stupor eyes that would not see & ears that would not hear, down to this very day.”
!v) (Deuteronomy 29:4 ) states :
These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel :' But to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.'
3) Satan also blinds the eyes.
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4 ) states :
' And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.'
C) How can blindness be cured ?
God opens the eyes.

(Luke 4:18) states : Jesus read from the book :“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives & recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. '
Psalmist says :' Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.'
(Psalm 119:18 )
God used lsaiah to open the blind eyes _:
(Isaiah 42: 6,7) states : ' God said to lsaiah, "I the LORD have called thee in righteousness & give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes."
God used Saul also,
(Acts 26:16_18) states : ' God said to Saul, "But rise & stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister & a witness to open their eyes."
