FROM FEAR TO FAITH
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."(Romans 8.28)
The Coronavirus is immensely disruptive.
Thousands have died, business and nations have been brought to a standstill, and fear and uncertainty have gripped the world.
C.S. Lewis said that pain is God's
"megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
In times of great uncertainty when suddenly we are confronted with the shakiness of our systems and very existence people ask:
“Is there a place of security and safety or are we just prisoners of chance?”//

God is summoning the entire world to find security in Him and under the shelter of His protection.
Millions of people, while not denying God's existence, have chosen to ignore Him. Now He is reminding us again of our frailty without Him and inviting everyone to find security in Him.
"God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling." Selah(Psalm 46:1-3)

God has provided a place of security and refuge in His Fatherly care and in His covenant promises. Our part is to respond to His invitation to find refuge in Him. The only ones He cannot help are those who refuse, or ignore His help.
Now in this time of global uncertainty and fear, God is shouting once again, through the megaphone of pain and fear, "COME FIND THAT PLACE OF REFUGE AND PEACE IN ME".
Our ancestors in the faith have experienced this place of peace and safety from time immemorial.
• Noah found refuge in the ark God told Him to build ,
• When the humanistic powerful civilization of ancient Babylon fell, Abraham found protection, safety and fruitfulness in the plans and promises of God.
• The believers of Israel found safety from the plagues of Egypt when they trusted in the blood of the Passover Lamb.
Now it is our time to put all our trust in the care of Our Wonderful Loving Heavenly Father and Our Good Shepherd, Jesus.
If we have ignored Him or merely given Him lip service until now, now is the time to get real and to begin a new walk with Him.
God is summoning the earth to build our lives no more on the shifting sands of the world order but on the Solid Rock of our promise-making, promise-keeping God.
